Myron E. Tozer papers, 1908.

Notebooks from a mine tour taken as part of a mine surveying course; include sketches and statistics relating to iron mines in Dickinson, Iron, and Marquette Counties, Mich., and Florence County, Wis. The sketches are chiefly of underground workings, but also some plans of surface development and some detailed sketches of individual pieces of equipment. Words to several student songs are also included.

In 1901 Michigan Mining School (now Michigan Technological University) in Houghton, Michigan received funding for two additional buildings. The Civil and Mining Engineering Building, was built at a cost of $28,880, was a two-story hip-roofed structure with a five-story tower centered on the front.
